International Antiquarian Book Fair
Once again Bologna reaffirm herself as la dotta, hosting from September the 20th to 26th 2010, together with Artelibro Festival del libro d’arte, the World Congress of Antiquarian Booksellers, that will be held in Italy after a lack of 20 years. ALAI (Associazione Librai Antiquari d’italia) willl be honoured to gather the most important booksellers, collectors and book-reads from all over the world to exhibit to the public some of the most prestigious books from their collections. Visitors of the International Antiquarian Book fair that will follow the Congress, from September the 24th to 26th, will have the one time chance to admire rare and precious books, saved in the fascinating rooms of Palazzo Re Enzo e del Podestà. This venue has been chosen also because of the participation of more than 100 exhibitors, 50 of them coming from abroad: such a huge participation makes the Fair the widest event about antiquarian library ever realized in Italy.
Guests will have the possibility to satisfy their curiosity and feed the passion in art publishing and antiquarian books. A lectio magistralis by the Nobel prize in literature Umberto Eco will open the Fair in the Aula Magna of Santa Lucia, on September the 24th at 8.00 p.m. Free entry is guaranteed for the Opening and the whole Fair.
